I don't remember if I told you or not, I attended one week long oriental dance workshops in the end of July/beginning of August and here is a short movie I did from our teachers performances -
Bharatanatyam, Flamenco and Tribal Fusion: LWTO Bielin 2007 [link] Authorised material.
This was nice summer with
Tolk Folk,
LWTO dance workshops,
Flamberg,
Polcon, visiting yoga center and by the way
ComicFestival in Łódź where I attended a meeting with
Grzegorz Rosiński & (

And the only thing I was sure about was Tolk Folk, Flamberg was only in plan and the rest totally surprised me

Regarding the kings of Eldar and their parents I recommend
essay by Michael Martinez:
[link] (and counting elves fun
[link] Imagine 1,000,000 Noldor

). With one
warning though - he treats
'Cuivienyarna' as a source containing real exact information, but as JRRT says himself it is:
Actually written (in style and simple notions) to be a surviving Elvish "fairytale" or child's tale, mingled with counting-lore. [HoME XI]
So no, IMHO there were no 144 first elves, these numbers are specific to teach little elflings counting in their system (based on 12 not 10) and Imin, Tata and Enel are fictional characters, as true as heroes from our legends - they probably did exist but not exactly in the way as legends presents them. OK, Maedhros had father name 'Third Finwë' (Nelyafinwë ), but being named "Imin" - "First" is really ridiculous (or as Martinez says "One"). Worse than "Golden haired" (Glorfindel)

The only way I could accept it would be that elves took name for "1" from Imin's name, not opposite. But anyway it doesn't make sense to me, so no - Imin didn't exist as Imin, he had his different real name and didn't walk around to find more sleeping elves to command them. Other than that I mostly agree with Martinez. Mostly
I'll be away for 2 weeks, see you later

The untechnical toturial by

explaining how to give personality to a character you paint, what makes your character alive being and why you should not use filters and pure white colour, nor struggle for absolute anatomical correctness. This is not about technique but creation process and thought behind it, with very useful advices about important face details:
Now I need to use these advices on my poor Olwë who unfortunately lost his character (he is hostile being right now for I overdid some face mimic lines

) and he became manikin the same time while I was correcting this an that.
